I have just planted 2 Incredibelles ( strong Annabell) in my garden and they are stunning. My friend has the ordinary Annabelle and it is indeed a beautiful shrub but more willowy. It has been quite windy and rainy here for the last few days and it has not been damaged at all. It looks much sturdier than Annabell. I will be pruning it hard back to the ground in spring when the new shoots start to appear as it flowers on new growth.
Life's tragedy is that we get old too soon and wise too late.
you are right papi, I have the incrediball (strong annabell) and the invincibelle which is the pink annabell. The old grey matter not what it was! I'm not that impressed with the colour of my pink annabelle,it's not as pink as in the photos. Hopefully it will improve with a bit of TLC

Maybe so, Berghill. I only planted it this summer and it had got rather battered in transit. Hopefully the colour will improve next season. it will get morning sun and then some shade in the afternoon, apparently this may help. There's that much info that I don't know what will work. Trail and error I think

Hi!
Are you sure of the name "Incredibelles"? The only similarly named hydrangea varieties I can find are 'Incrediball' and 'Invincibelle'.

Our Red Annabelle is a really good deep pink colour. Perhaps it is affected by soil type?
