Moth Orchid.

I have a moth orchid which is now about seven years old. It flowered quite well.

It is now on a "trunk" about five inches high where dead leaves have come off and looks a bit like a palm tree,  a long "trunk" topped by leaves. top heavy I would say.  The aerial roots look healthy enough  .

I have supported it with a cane and loose tie but wonder if I could shorten the " trunk " and re-pot in orchid mix
