Plant id please - red berries

Ang1eAng1e Posts: 27

Dear all,

My neighbour took the following photo on 16th July and I was wondering if any of you knew what it might be.  We're hoping it might be something edible as we found it while out looking for blackberries.

It's not the best of photos and there is only one but perhaps there is an eagle-eyed member out there with red berry shrub knowledge.

Thanks for any help.

  • Cotoneaster Francetti? Leaves look a bit light for Francetti but could be. Any chance of a closeup of a leaf and a wide shot to see how it branches?

Could be Lonicera maackii. In which case, no the berries are not eidble to humans.
