We have something in our front garden that when wet smells of animal poo. Can anyone tell me the names of any plant that this could be?

Do you have any shrubs with leaves that look like they have been munched on by bugs?
Its probably a verburnum. The smell is their rather ineffective defense mechanism.
What does you plant look like? Is it possible to upload a picture?
