Ranunculus
in Plants
I have just bought some ranunculus corms/bulbs. I have never grown them before. It says to soak them - but can anyone tell me if it is o.k. to plant them in pots and containers, when they flower, and do they attract bees? I had some flowers given to me at Easter time, so I assume they are Spring flowering - is that right?

Pots - yes.
Spring flowering - yes + early summer.
Bees - some have very complex flowers, so no, but some yes.

Thanks punkdoc - the packet shows such lovely, colourful flowers - so I am looking forward to seeing them bloom. I love daffodils and tulips and they are easy to grow but I am trying to be a little more experimental with my bulbs in the future. Can anyone suggest other bulbs that would attract bees?
