Can you identify this plant

Hi I have been told this is a pagoda plant, but the pagoda plant I have seen in books is nothing like this.  It is growing in a south facing garden and is shrub like.  It grows aprox 3ft in a season. Your help in identifying would be appreciated.  Thank you, Tony.

    Leycesteria formosa

I've heard it called a lot of things but not that. I can see where the idea comes from though.

Pheasant Berry and Himalayan Honeysuckle are more common names

The Pagoda Plant is Clerodendron paniculatum. 'Pagoda' from the shape of the Clerodendron flower panicles.
