Mystery bee

Hi wondered if anyone could help, have been lucky enougth to have several species of solitary bee in my bee houses this year. They have all now left. Have seen a very small creature using the empty holes for a while now. Doesn't seem to be nesting looks like a nomad bee. Do they use these boxes. Will they harm the finished nests of other bees.

Nomad bees look very like wasps so that may help you in your identification. They do parasitise the nests of other bees by laying their eggs next to the eggs in the nest. They also steal the food left for the larvae by the parent bee. Another very clever twist to Mother Nature.
