Anyone else had a slow start, my Lavatara is only just coming into bloom, thought it would never get going ?

    Hi geoffandrhon. It has been a rather strange year for weather etc. so some plants are behaving unusually.

    I have been pruning mine back for weeks and today I cut one back to the ground after lifting it cleaning and washing it clean then replacing it back nicely in the ground

    Thanks, glad to know I am not the only one, perhaps the very wet June did not help .

    hi all    when  my lavertena  flower this year I put in mixed then blue// pink//white//then a pinky white//when they die back I cut flower heads and keep them all in small boxes for next year ///    but the idea that     bulkerb  says to cut to ground  lift out  and   wash and put back will try a few in 9ins   tubs and keep in g/h      the only thing I purposely leave in big tubs is the livinstone daisys     they allways  come
