Phyllostachys Aurea - Golden Bamboo

I have just planted 15 lots of this plant along a wall in a newly created section of garden using sleepers. Some of the plants seem to be ok but some about half the leaves are turning yellow and falling off looking pretty dead to be how at after one week.
The soil is moist but not soggy, the weather has been very hot.
any thoughts on what to try? I have spent a lot of money these!

Thanks - have been wa everyday but then others say don't over water. Some of the canes are looking yellow Too. All very strange after less than a week.
Thoughts on how to salvage? aiming for a screen hence the large quantity.
