Bulbs for Autumn and winter
in Plants
I'm planning on planting some bulbs in pots and beds for Autumn and winter. Not sure if this is a daft question or not-I know many summer bulbs need over -wintering. Can I leave Autumn and winter bulbs where they are to re-flower each year?!

What is it you're planting? Snowdrops can be left until they need splitting up

I'll plant anything white or purple! I guess pansies could be OK? They flower over Autumn, are perennia and don't need looking after in between flowering
Pansies aren't bulbs
Yes sorry. I know! I was thinking aloud!
I misunderstood the question Liz, I thought you were asking about leaving bulbs in place through the seasons.

It's going to be dangerous when they connect our IT systems to our brains

If you mean winter/spring flowering bulbs then yes but tulips should be dug up after they die down and replanted for november to resist tulip fire.
Pansies tend to look tired after the first season but can be refreshed by cutting back hard. They often self seed if you havent dead headed religiously. They are pretty cheap so normally dug up after the season is over to make room for the next bedding plant.
Thanks people. Sorry-I appreciate I was confusing!! I need to put some autumn and winter colour in my pots and beds. I was thinking snowdrops, pansies, etc. I've got thousands of Spanish bluebells I'm trying to think out for Spring colour. I know some bulbs should be removed or stored in between flowering which I can't be doing with so I want something which looks after itself and just keeps returning each year!
Spring bulbs you can leave insitu to get on with it?
Purple and white?
