    Verdun,Those I had in the tunnel were those which copped for it. I think "they " say it's spread by aphid, so pretty much nowt you can do to stop it.

    My Phasion have got it and a couple of others, mercifully NOT on Tropicana Black.

    I'm wondering if a really good hearty feed in Spring would help? 

    "they" say burn them, but as the pathogens don't live in soil ( they say ), I see no reason not to compost them.

    One more season then I'll decide. Must try not to buy any new ones though. It's tough.

  • I love cannas and black foliage plants but I haddend heard of Tropicana black ,on my must have list, are they easy to obtain ?

    Chrissy, I bought one  in B&Q earlier this year , £9.99, which I thought pricey, but it's huge now.
