They need plenty of sunlight. The last two summers haven't 'been much to write home about. Thats where your problem lies. Nice flowers but they sadly look trouble after a good down pour
@verdun thanks. I will be moving it in autumn to a slightly more sunlight exposed area and I will treat it better than the runt that keeps getting moved to wherever there was a space! We'll see next year!
@musher tell me about it, my roses have been so grotty due to the heavy rain every time they started to open, all year. My lillies too have taken it tight with wind and rain. No show blooms this year!
Probably too small yet, wait for next year. They need lots of sun and moist soil, pruning group 1 so don't prune unless damaged stems - sometimes this delays flowering too.
