Hello. I have just seen a shrubby plant and a small tree I can't identify - any ideas?

The above shrub was really tall, very attractive and I think quite invasive.

The above small tree was lovely and the bees absolutely adored it. So pretty and airy.

    The top one is clerodendrum bungei.

    I think the bottom one may be Caryopteris.

    Ah. Brill. Thank you ladybird been in this house 8 years and not noticed that before!! (Told you I was new to this). Doubt I can do much with it though as its intermingled with the hedge. Looks pretty thoughimage

    Thanks all - clerodendrum and vitex agnus-castus seem right. I've seen the former before, I think, but not known what it was. Attractive but huge and with suckers coming up everywhere. The vitex was absolutely beautiful and COVERED in bees - I wonder why it's not more widely grown?
