If I wanted a Christmas Tree for a pot outside around 3 foolish tall this year that my daughter can decorate each year, what should I look for? Only ever had indoor fake.
at the bottom is a list of different types of tree which are commonly used as Christmas trees. Search for each cultivar as "pot grown" and you should find lots to choose from.
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
You don't have to go for the customary varieties as there are other trees that look beautiful with baubles and without. One year we had a thuja smaragd which spent the first Christmas indoors then moved outside for a few years before getting a bit above itself. Unlike a lot of the traditional trees, the thuja is very conical, has dense foliage, and looks like a drawing of a Christmas tree.
