pyrocanthus soil change
in Plants
I am renovating a garden which has/had many pyrocanthus.
I have hacked some back and some I must remove.
I think I read somewhere that pyrocanthus can change the chemistry of the surrounding soil - but cannot find an online reference to this. Maybe it was another shrub that does this.
I shall test the soil before replanting .
Anyone have the answer.
thank you

If there's been a big pyracantha there for years It's probably exhausted all the nutrients but that's easily remedied.
