Old slabs vs New Slabs

I just had some work done to extend my patio. The old patio had 4 years wear so I expected the new slabs not to look the same, however, there seems to be a massive difference of the color (see attached photos).

The close up picture is after I jet washed the old slab.

The builder is claiming they are the same slabs. I haven't paid the builder yet so some advice would be great.
