Eeewww yucky ??
That is a beautiful Goldenrod Crab spider
get a grip, it's all part of life's rich tapestry
beautiful spider deprived of lunch
I was intrigued by it as all the other spiders run away and hide and this one gripped the stem of the mint and I had to cut the steam and carefully liberate it as well but this time into the safety of the hedge.
I was not sure if it was predatory to bees as I have a bee hotel nearby.
Yes it is all part of life and beautiful in its own right Ladybird and Nut
Another beautiful sight was watching our allotment sparrow hawk launch itself from a tall tree and disappear to get its breakfast further down the plots...amazing
spiders eat insects, bees are insects. There's a lot of life out there. We may not like to see what in our view is a 'goodie' being eaten by a 'baddie' but without that balance of eat and be eaten we'd soon run out of life.
Good point nutcutlet and I will bear that in mind in future
HOW WOULD YOU FEEL IF YOU WERE JUST ABOUT TO TUCK INTO YOUR NICE MEATY MEAL AND SOMEBODY CAME ALONG AND GRABBED IT?
I HOPE YOU ARE A VEGETARIAN, AT LEAST, AND FEEL THAT THE REST OF CREATION SHOULD BE TOO - OTHERWISE I CAN'T UNDERSTAND YOUR ARGUMENT.
I had a huge Bird Eating Spider sitting in the palm of my hand once.. It Was warm and fuzzy and it trembled with fear, guess I am a bit of a mouthful more than a bird
I was in the caribean at the time...
