Aym ...have it here. ,pennisetum Villosum. Love it.
it may not survive over winter in some areas though
no not invasive.....Some pennisetums can be; some are very tender

Carex Evergold, grows in deep shade in my garden, and really lights up the area.
aym, quaking grass isn't "invasive", but it does self seed very freely. Easily spotted when they germinate though. I have masses of it underneath a Pinus Radiata which overhangs the drive ( a bit too much ) but I live with them there.
some random seed from the bird feeders?
