Great...thanks. They seem to be thriving in my front garden and l wanted to get some more. It's terrible soil but these chaps are doing very well indeed.
Some people have found them to be slightly thuggish but I just dig up any shoots I don't want. They are perfect as they flower until the first frosts, last year well into December. They also come in white
I bought some small (2") anemone sylvestris snow white last month, they were pot bound so repotted in MPC and a sprinkle of rootgrow. One snuffed it immediately and the others are getting a bit crispy although this morning I think I can convince myself there is growth in the centre.
They haven't flowered here but is it usual for anemones to shed leaves now?

Japanese anemones - there are several pink varieties - September Charm is the one I have which looks similasr to yours.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Mine is Japonica Anemone x hybrida Max Vogel, looks very similar too! There's lots of varieties like Dove says

Anemone sylvestris flowers in late Spring/early Summer so yours may be getting ready for Autumn now.
Phew thanks LB4, I have been fretting,
