Beech Hedge Dying - Advice Please
in Plants
I have a beech hedge which I planted last year. The plants are about 4' tall. A week or two ago the leaves on one plants all turned brown and it died. Now, leaves on another plant, 6 feet away, are turning brown. The rest of the plants seem healthy enough.
what can I do, I don't want to loose them all.
cheers, Richard

Water it at least once a week with a bucket of water per plant. In Drought conditions, a good soaking once a week is better than a sprinkle every day.
They do turn brown in winter and stay on until spring, but it is a bit early for that. My beech is still all at the green stage.
Is the dead plant near a wall, or a very soggy piece of ground, perhaps?
