    Certainly looks like sunflower. Bougainvillea leaves have smooth edges.

    Bougainvilleahas thorns on the stems.

    Topinambur? Definitely not bougainvillea.

    Im just not sure if I'm growing a weed! I've gathered it's not bougainvillea, but It's different from my sunflowers too! Perhaps will just wait and see if they flower!
