looks like Veronicastrum but I'd like a second opinion. Just remove the faded flower spikes and see what happens.
I don't know, agree with Verdun, not veronicastrum. A pic that shows the shape of the flowers could help. What colour were they?
But whatever it is I think it's too late for a second flowering now.
