Will this plant reflower ?

I can't actually remember the name of this ant ! But does anyone know if I cut it back is it likely to reflower this year ?! image

    Your 'ant' image looks like Veronicastrum but I'd like a second opinion. Just remove the faded flower spikes and see what happens.

    I don't know,  agree with Verdun, not veronicastrum. A pic that shows the shape of the flowers could help. What colour were they?

    But whatever it is I think it's too late for a second flowering now.

    Could it be Veronica longifolia 'Schneereisin'? From the remaining flowers it looks as though it could have been a white flowered 'thingy'. It is difficult to judge the size too. How tall is it emma?
