summer flowering bulbs

I have just seen a GW topic regarding summer flowering bulbs. They recommended Galtonia, Cannas and Eucomis. I have never grown any of these before, so can you give me some advice and are they all easily available at the GC (I realize I can't buy them now but assume they will be on sale early next year?).

I have grown Cannas and eucomis and they aren't difficult to grow (both acquired at local GC). They have to be taken indoors during Winter - at least up here in the North West. I have never yet tried growing Galtonia. Treat Cannas like Dahlias. Eucomis can be grown in containers which can then be lifted into a frost free place during the Winter. They flower later in the year.
