Rosebud Blues

in Plants
Hi, this is my first posting on the forum and I'm hoping that someone out there can help me. I recently planted an English Rose (Gertrude Jekyll) lt is a truly beautiful rose and the scent is georgeous. The plant is growing very well and new buds are appearing all the time. However the last batch are different to previous ones.
As you can see, some of the the tips of the buds look as though they have been eaten. I have sprayed with Roseclear but if it is a pest l can't see one. We have also had quite a bit of rain, you can see how the rain has spoilt the blooms. Hope you can help
