Can we have a close up of the foliage please?
Unfortunately that is the best photo I have. These trees have been removed and the image is from Google Maps. I want to find out what the trees are to see if I can successfully plant perennials around the stumps.
It doesn't matter what they were. Perennials should grow nicely around the stumps providing they have enough food in the soil.
They look like dwarfer conifer varieties. If there's enough space round them, go for it, but you might find a lot of dry old roots in a thick mat.
