A musical (box) question...
Talking of unusual, gardening-related songs, can anyone (without googling) tell me the name of the song that contains the, probably unique, phrase 'herbicidal battering'?
Clue: it came out in 1971 and definitely had 'something in the air'...

No I can't remember it - and I'm not cheating
ARE YOU SURE THAT "HERBICIDAL BATTERING" IS ACTUALLY WHAT WAS SAID?
I INVARIABLY MISHEAR THE LYRICS TO SONGS.
FOR YEARS I THOUGHT THAT THE CORRECT WORDS TO "MY BONNY LIES OVER THE OCEAN" WERE "MY BUNNY LIES OVER THE OCEAN".
And we're off...
Ivory Madonna = I'm a real banana.
There's a gentleman that's going round turning the judge upside down...
The Phil Collins song was 1981 but the 1971 one is a Genisis song.
Gladly the cross-eyed bear....
Let's be having them!
IVORY MADONNA - WELL!
I ALWAYS THOUGHT THAT WAS "I'M A PRIMA DONNA". NO KIDDING.
We had a very high minded school song but I was confused by the desire for fairy nouns - I couldn't remember doing those... It turned out to be fair renown. Those were the days.
I remember the # my ears are alight# advert, but I can't remember what it was for.
