In Redditch the wild blackberries are still in flower with some setting fruit, but still small.image

Blackberries usually ripen late summer or early autumn onwards in time to be mixed with apples in blackberry and apple pies and crumbles.

Here in essex they are big but still green. Plenty of ripe raspberries in the hedgerows.
And I've got my eye on some plums I've seen (but no doubt the pigeons and wasps have too) they're just going a blush pink atm

I do still have some I picked in the freezer dated july 2014. It's not going to happen this year

Well, down in the sunny Vendée they're still in flower or just starting to form fruits so I'm not expecting any fruit for weeks.
