I am not sure if pictures 3 & 4 are the same plant, although taken at separate open gardens - they are very striking aren't they.

    2 is a rudbeckia

    3 lookls like an allium. How big are they.? they could be anything from chives to red mohican.

    3 and 4 are Allium sphaerocephalon.

  • The circumference of those alliums was approx. 3 - 4 inches fidgetbones - they were really striking against the pond background but I think they may be short lived flowers, now you see them now you don't, but well worth growing all the same. Thank you all.
