Help needed urgently, Gardena automatic watering system

Hello all, I'm hoping someone can advise. I've bought a Gardena EasyControl Classic computer so that I no longer have to drag my neighbours in to water while I am away. I'm leaving this Tuesday and thought I had it all sorted when I bought all the bits today. Everything fits together just fine, except that the connection at the tap end seems rather loose. When I turn the tap on the computer explodes off it and lands on the paving. No matter what I do I cannot get any water to come out of the nozzie or the computer to stay attached to the tap. And annoyingly Gardena provides absolutely no information.

I have an ordinary standard nozzle tap which works with my normal hose fitting, also Gardena, just fine.

Am I missing an adaptor that should go on the tap end of the computer?

Should I have a valve open before I turn on the tap? If so, please can someone let me know how?

I only have 24 hours to sort this out...

Hi you may have already done this so apologies if you have but I've got a link here for you to enter the make of your particular computer so you can download a Gardena User's Manual etc. I do hope you can sort this all out.

Oh, thank you, Ladybird. That is a kind thought. Actually I have the manual that came with it and it has been no help. Was hoping somebody on here would have the same watering system and tell me whether I'm doing it right or if there is something I need to add in. Anyway I shall have to give up--my neighbours won't be very happy...
