Thank you for your kind words Ladybird4 and green fingered finch, the top picture by the way is a Scabious and it comes in different colours. The bees love them.

Truely beautiful Jacqueline.  I especially loved the very first scabious.  I don't suppose it has a name?

Thank you Beaus Mum, they are just called Tall Double Mixed from Mr Fothergills seeds, I got them free with my Amateur Gardening magazine last year. The second picture down in the lilac colour is also from the same mix. They come in pink, lilac, blue, white, red & burgundy. They are beautiful and the centres look like pin cushions.

There's something missing, can't quite put my finger on it....................

Oh, I've got it - no lily beetle ! ?

The photos are fab - an oasis of beauty & creativity in what is quickly becoming an ugly world (sorry to sound like a drama queen, all this terrorist stuff is getting me down !).

Thank you all for you lovely comments. Yes no lily beetles at moment, although I have had my fair share of them Erics Mum. Yes there does not seem to be enough good things happening in this world at the moment. My thoughts and prayers are always with those that have lost loved ones or are badly injured due to the utter madness.

What's the flower in the first picture, please. I like it a lot.

Might it be a scabious? I think 1 and 2 both are.
