Buying plants

Hi all.

Not sure if this is a taboo topic but does anyone know where you can buy a large amount of perennials at not so high prices? Looking at wholesale nurseries, they only sell to the trade. However, how would they know if I wasnt, say, a fledgling nursery?

apolog if this isnt allowed.

Most don't care if you have the cash and buy in wholesale quantities.

If they ask, you are a jobbing gardener.

Rosebank nurseries have three sites around the country. They are good for buying plugs etc and small plants for growing on. Many you have to buy in dozens for small plants and 32s or more for plugs.

    I live in Derbyshire.

So there is nothing really stopping me as a gardener from buying whilesale, bar telling a white lie?

There are some good online suppliers of perennial.I have used Paddocks Plants and there perennials have always been healthy and moderately priced. I recently purchased some perennial plug plants online by and in 2 weeks since they arrived and been posted on are now thriving. Again these only worked out at about £2 a plant
