this plant has grown vigorously over the last few weeks, it is now about 3ft tall, the leaves are slightly rough, no sign of any flowers yet, the leaves have no smell, any ideas as to what it is please?
Thanks for the quick reply guys, it's the first time I have used this site and I am a very novice gardener so I am sure i will be asking lots more questions! I just looked up photos of the 2 suggested plants and next door have large swathes of yellow flowers in summer that could be helianthus so it could be that, I will update you when I know for sure.
Didn't realise it was your first visit, welcome to the forum, ask as many questions as you like. Lots of people here with different areas of expertise.

It looks like Green Alkanet.
