Sweetcorn

My sweet corns are coming up really well. I have noticed that some have a new stem growth coming at the base, should I take that off? Also is it best to only let one or two corns develop?

I have never felt the need to do any pruning to sweetcorn,

you can just leave it to it with the possibility of staking once the cobs start to form and it gets a bit top heavy.

in general you usually get about three cobs off each stalk
