Plant or Weed?

image

I am trying to work out if this is something I've planted or a weed. I label everything I plant but cannot find a label by this and it's been getting bigger and bigger for weeks with no sign of blooming so I am coming around to the thought that it's a weed!

We've had a lot of this recently on the Forum. It is Caper spurge and a weed. Keep any milky sap off your skin as it can be a irritant.

Thanks for this. Before I rip it out I'm just posting 3 more photos to be sure as it isn't looking like Google images I can find of Caper Spurge or a type of Euphorbia.

That's not caper spurge. I have no idea what it is though. Post a picture when it flowers.

Yes, don't rip it out for being caper spurge because it isn't image

I wouldn't rip it out before it flowers. I know a lot of weeds and hat one isn't any of them. Might be something nice, an erigeron or something.

Now I've seen the enlarged pictures (why can't we do that any more?) I was very wrong. Not caper spurge at all. Is that a white flower at the top of your first picture? Could it be one of the Michaelmas Daisy family?

    Hello everyone,

I agree it could be a Michaelmas Daisy though it could be part of the cornflower family as my cornflowers look a bit like that.  It could be something nice as looks as though it is about to flower that could be interesting.  Is it part of the cornflower family?

You can enlarge the photos by right clicking on them and selecting 'open in another tab' option. image

(Took me a while to figure out the 'Open image in new tab' trick.  You should be able to do that on the mac: try ctrl + click.)
