Painting a tanalised garden shed

I need to paint my garden shed that I bought recently.  It is tanalised and I have read conflicting articles about whether I need to use an oil based paint or one the the nice coloured ones I would like.

Can anyone 'shed' any light on this for me?

(sorry for the awful pun!)

If you read the tin Emma, it will tell you what each product can be used for; rough sawn wood, smooth, treated etc. You will also find a "techy" helpline number on each product. You can call that if you require any more information. The techs know their product!

I can't imagine why you would need to use an oil based paint as the tanalising agents are generally copper based and are water soluble. Anything oil based will be more preservative in nature than the "pretty" shades type but have a good read of the tin before you make an expensive mistake.
