Cucumbers

hoping someone can help! my cucumbers grew nicely but cos of the cold weather & continuous rain, I didn't plant them out til about 3weeks ago, maybe longer. They were quite tall & a little spindly by then but had flowers & some little cukes growing. My problem is, they are still the same. Not dead...but not growing, at all. Some lower leaves have died but it like the plants are in stasis!! They're planted in greenhouse & outside, in small pots and large. Nowt is rotting, no pests on leaves. All v odd!   Please, has anyone got any ideas.

You're not alone Pinkheart, there have been a few threads this year discussing cucumber problems. The general consensus has been that it's down to the awful weather.

I've managed to harvest one so far and have some tiny fruits that have yet to swell. The leaves are looking pretty ropey.

I think it's just a bad year for cukes.

Think I've watered them ok! michael! Got a sunken pot and water into that so it gets to the roots and doesn't rot the stem. Maybe not feeding enough but I'd put some food into the compost before planting. Didn't want to over feed.  Feel tiny bit better that others are having same problems but I'd rather we were all doing well! I was so confident I'd be ok with cukes. Nowt else seems to grow for me ( I cannot grow courgettes!) but cukes have done really well behind my back!

hi pinkheart   I feed my t0ms with a 2inch pipe about 9ins  and water from bottom my courgettes are great I put 2 plants in  and belive it or not  we can not eat them fast enough had to throw 2 away about 6inchs  all I am doing is feeding them bio food (the blue stuff)  and when fruits show  a mild feed of tommarite   I think next year do a couple later on to use in the chutneys and sauses and currys     ... the one thing I can not do is down load photos not clever enough the grand son shows me but he is like  a train and to fast for me      good luck with growing    Michael
