Harvesting seeds

Hi all,

Does anyone know the best time to harvest seeds from Lavendula and Salvia, please? Also what's the best technique to do so?

when they're ripe and dry and loose on the seed head.

just snip off the whole head and put it in a paper bag, envelope or something non plastic til the seeds drop out.

If your summer is like ours in East Anglia I foresee problems with seeds rotting instead of ripening
