Planting lily bulbs late

Caz70 says:

I have just bought some asiatic lily bulbs from Hampton Court Show.  Do I plant them up now or do I store them until Autumn? If I have to store them, where is the best place to store lily bulbs without them rotting off or sprouting?

Just plant them Caz. They won't benefit from being stored. Better in the ground or in a pot if your soil's unsuitable  image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • I planted some at the end of May and they are already almost in flower, so yours should flower around the start of September if you plant them now.
