cuckoo spit, there'll be a little insect inside, a froghopper. Not a worry.

Cuckoo spit - inside is a harmless baby insect. Leave it alone, it'll be gone soon. image

    Not literally 'cuckoo' spit?!

Ha ha C3k - definitely not. Its a protective, nasty tasting foam produced by the insect itself. Only called that as it's appearance seemed to coincide with the arrival in the UK of the cuckoo. The insects inside are really cute and do resemble tiny frogs.
