Sad to hear that Caroline Aherne has lost her battle with cancer. Condolences to her family

    Very very sad

    she was a friend of a friend, so I always followed what she was up to - a very clever girl.

    once spent a night in a Manchester nightclub with her (and a big group of others) before she was famous.  I am suddenly feeling very old.

    Loved her writing and the characters she created - a real loss.

    Oh that is so sad.. Big C gets far too many good people and theres not a lot we seem to be able to do.. I heard this evening of someone Iknewa while back that went on holiday to Spain and died there, undiagnosed Cancer every where...

    Yes I know exactly what you mean, 11 years ago I had Cancer, I was lucky and now I look after my ex who has Terminal cancer, he comes and sitsi in my garden he feels its theraputic somehow... I tried this year to make it the best ever for him, poor guy..

    Yet another part of my youth gone. Feeling for her loved ones.
