The assistant in the nursery told me it was a pittosporum, but I can't find a plant in this genus that looks like this. Any ideas? It is low and creeping and in the rockery/alpine display.
I've had a look on line, and I think you have got the answer for me. Thanks a lot. I can now go out and buy some-the nursery where I saw it doesn't have any to sell right now.

I think those little round flowers are Persicaria capitata.

It comes in a lot of different coloured leaf forms too, besides the one pictured. Worth looking out for P. Red Dragon, or P. Painter's Palette.
I'll do that, it is a delightful little plant.
