Nectarine problem

What has happened to my three year old potted nectarine fruit. The decent looking ones have all fallen off but these scabby ones are hanging on. Have I over/under watered or is it some dreaded disease and what can I do to ensure I don't get a repeat next year?

I have now but no sign of maggots, it looks quite good inside!
