Buddleia "floppy growth"

My poor buddleia has suffered due to the Spirea Bridal wreath next to it making huge growth and over-shadowing it making the Budleia very floppy. I have now cut the spirea back drastically but will the buddleia recover in time to flower? I could try staking it, would a feed help?

    buddlejas will flower no matter what. it doesn't need feed.  staking it will help with the floppiness.
