Ivy and bind weed clearance

Hi

my new neighbour are going to spray very heavy duty weed killer in their side of the garden adjecent to my garden fence where they have a very dense growth of ivy, Bindweed and nettles. I have few climbers like Jasmin. Passion flower and honey suckle and lots of roses On the other side of the fence.

if they use a strong weed killer will this also kill my plant on my side of the fence.

your advise on what they can use so it does not kill my side of the plants and where they can start creating flower boarders very soon.
