I bought a standard oleander a couple of months ago. It is in a large container with john innis no. 3. Looked good when first purchased, now flower buds start to form and then fall off. Does anyone know why, and what I can do about it?
It is a very large tericotta pot approx 50cm dia. In full sun. Havent started feeding it yet as only had for a short time and it hasnt stopped raining so I didnt want to overdo the watering. Buds form and drop off, no flowers at all but did have a few flowers when we first had it. Really stumped.
Did you plant it out into this big pot or did it come in it? If its the former then the plant is settling in and forming new roots and it will sacrifice its flowers to do this. Possibly this is what is happening.

Hi wizzys. How big is the pot and is it in full sun? Have you been feeding it? Tomato fertiliser is good for the plant.
