Has anyone on here got any idea what is munching on my cistus??

How beautiful is that! It is the Vapourer Moth caterpillar. Lucky you to have such a pretty visitor - even if it is munching your cistus!
Takes me back to my childhood!
Used to rear these and 'woolly bears' of the garden tiger moth in jam jars and my brother and I held caterpilllar races on the back steps
It was fascinating watching the chrysalis develop and wonderful releasing the brand new moths.
