Mint isnt sending up runners

Just joined this site.

So i have planted a mint transplant into a giant pot is is definitely growing roots but that is literally all it is doing.

    How long has it been in the pot, FBS?  And what sort of mint?  Some run more than others but I think they all do in the end... maybe it needs a while to settle down and "find its feet"?

    Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

    Its been in the pot for a little over a month now and it is spearmint.

    It has tried to flower but i pinched those out.

    Maybe you just need to be a bit patient... and keep it watered, of course.  image  Bet you find it trying to escape out of the hole in the bottom of the pot before too long...

    A month isn't very long - even for mint. Stand well back - it'll get going soon ....
