SOME KIND OF ARUM LILY BUT NOT ONE THAT IS NATIVE TO DERBYSHIRE.image

Apophthegm -  a big word for a small thought.
If you live in Derbyshire, as I do.

    Dranunculus vulgaris

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

Hi pansyface,  it is a bit strange - its not a uk native but over the last 10 years I have seen one or two in customers gardens - it is dracunulus vulgaris or dragon arum - i think it smells really horrible of pooh!

(but I have not really sniffed at it in case I am sick)  really easy to grow and take care of and a bit of a crowd puller in the garden just as something that others dont have.

    I love  it.

The foliage looks like my amorphophallus. No tittering at the back.

    Devon.
