Does anyone have any idea what plant this big purple flower belongs to?
thank you in advance.
SOME KIND OF ARUM LILY BUT NOT ONE THAT IS NATIVE TO DERBYSHIRE.
Hi pansyface, it is a bit strange - its not a uk native but over the last 10 years I have seen one or two in customers gardens - it is dracunulus vulgaris or dragon arum - i think it smells really horrible of pooh!
(but I have not really sniffed at it in case I am sick) really easy to grow and take care of and a bit of a crowd puller in the garden just as something that others dont have.
I've never seen one before but wow...
I love it.
The foliage looks like my amorphophallus. No tittering at the back.
It lovely I was going to get one this year but didnt get round to it. I am sure I have read somewhere it smells of rotting flesh . Only one way to find out Outwardmango
It's true Perki. But I still love them
