Rose question

Hi all, I have a Paul Scarlet climbing rose growing in my garden, aprox 3-4 years old.  It flowers every year with red roses.  However, this year it has produced the red roses but has now also additional stems growing (with 7 leaves as opposed to the original 5 on rest of plant), and the roses are pale pink.  Can anyone advise what is happening - is it reverting back to root stock?  Many thanks for your help.  Kind regards Tony

Wow. You just rocked me back over forty years with that question. I remember my friends dad explaining that to us when we were children!!! image
