Has anyone seen this beautiful large 10cm moth. Found it this afternoon on my runner bean canes. I'm in South East near Seaford.

Thank you nutcutlet. Thought it was a slug and almost had the fright of my life!
Agree with, nut...a lovely moth indeed.
I used to see all sorts of hawkmoths when I was a kid, but now not that many, just down the road we used have a large bank of Willowherb which was full of Elephant Hawkmoths.

The Hawkmoth has moved on now. The Elephant Hawkmoth sounds big Sheps! Will have to check that on the web.
